In Photos: Beaches Jazz Festival 2009 Kicks Off
The 21st Annual Beaches International Jazz Festival opened at Woodbine Park yesterday. Despite an early downpour and the cooler weather, the crowds turned up with blankets and umbrellas.
Woodbine Park was quickly filled with people who came to enjoy the eclectic mix of music from artists like soul and R&B stalwart Sean Jones, blues-driven powerhouse Blackburn and the sax and guitar swirl of improv specialists ZimZum.
Ushering in what is expected to be an eventful weekend, the Beaches Jazz Festival will run from July 17-26 in various locations around the Beach.
