Sunparlour Players at the Dakota Tavern

The Sunparlour Players are bringing their brand of gospel/folk/rock to the Dakota Tavern this Friday night and you're gonna want to see the show if you want to be able to say you knew them when. The band's debut CD "Hymns For The Happy" has very recently been picked up by a label and will be released nationally this fall.

They've been described as "AC/DC guest starring on Little House on The Prairie" and their blend of guitar, banjo, drums, organ pedals, accordion and so much more converts just about anyone who sees them live. Check out the video after the jump, or just go to the show on Friday and see it with your own eyes.

Also playing on Friday night is Mark Sasso (from Elliot Brood) and Ron Leary. The Dakota is at 249 Ossington Avenue at Dundas Street West.
