Tuesday Night Punches Your Face In
Electric folkster Sarah Shaffey performs tomorrow night at the legendary El Mocambo. Think of a not annoying Ani Difranco stabbing the musical Sword of Omens into the heart of the Cranberries. Not sure what that means, but intrigued? Well, then, you should go to the show, shouldn't you? It's a Tuesday night. You don't have plans.
And, by lottery-calibre coincidence, mysterio-cloaked poetess and her mechanical sound-churners, Girl and the Machine, also play the El Mo Tuesday night. And I know you don't have plans (and I'm getting sick of pointing it out.)
The El Mocambo is located at 464 Spadina Avenue and it consistently makes you feel like you actually live in Toronto.
