Hogtown Smoke

Hogtown Smoke the latest food truck to open restaurant

Following in the footsteps of Fidel Gastro and Gourmet Gringos, popular local food truck Hogtown Smoke will be opening a BBQ joint in the Beaches by the middle of October. Taking over the space at 1959 Queen St. East that was most recently home to the Kalamata Shish Kebob House, Hogtown will be serving up their famous BBQ with an expanded menu that goes beyond the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches upon which they've built their reputation.

Not only is this news the latest boon to the suddenly burgeoning Beaches dining scene, it also seems to affirm that food trucks are proving to be a fertile testing ground for future restaurant concepts. Further, opening a restaurant provides a food truck with a much needed space in which to prep their meals.
