Getting Down: INSIDE Deep Throat

I always say you learn something new everyday, so imagine my surprise when I tagged along to see INSIDE Deep Throat playing at the Carlton.

The documentary takes a look at the hard core porn classics' rise to cult fame and fortune in the 1970s.

What I enjoyed about the documentary, was that it took no perspective simply because the overall story was so compelling on its own. All the drama was in the real lives of those involved. The result is a non-judgemental piece that both entertain while educates about socio-politics at the time.

My personal highlight of the documentary was the wife of a movie theatre owner arguing on camera about how they should NOT be talking about the distribution of the film. She was fearful that the mafia who came knocking on their door some 30 years back, will arrive again.

Still, I remain unconvinced that the clitoris can be found at the back of throat as the movie, not the doc, suggests. That's almost as funny as hearing the male G-Spot is found in the anus. ... Wait, that's true.
