Turns out it was definitely not the end of an era for a Toronto vintage shop forced to close its doors in October 2025 after a former zoning bylaw change no longer allowed it to operate at its iconic Dundas Street West location.
Now, a year after the disappointing closure, Expo Vintage Clothing has taken to Instagram to tease the impending comeback of its outlet location.
The caption simply reads, "SPRING 2027. MORE INFO SOON," with accompanying visuals confirming the reopening.
Owner-operator Nick Marian further confirmed the news, telling blogTO, "We are planning for a spring launch." Although the team isn't ready to divulge much more, Marian did share that the outlet's second innings will be "slightly different."
What does that look like, you may ask? Only time will tell.
The shop's Instagram account also verifies that Expo Outlet, which operated as a "by the pound" style store, will return to its original stomping grounds at 1978 Dundas St. W.
For the unversed, Marian had to shut down the second-hand clothing hotspot — and Toronto's only DIY music venue — late last year after zoning bylaws prohibited him from selling without a vending permit.
The reopening announcement has left avid shoppers amped, with support and excitement pouring into the comments section. "Huge news, badly missed!!" someone wrote. Another said, "I can finally start healing," hinting at the void the closure left in a community where thrifting thrives and is much appreciated.
With no further details available, shopping enthusiasts will have to follow along for updates on what's next for Expo Outlet.
In the meantime, you can still hunt for vintage treasures at the shop's flagship store at 1450 Dundas St. W.
