The 2026 Toronto-area Michelin Guide has officially been unveiled, and a swath of new restaurants in the city and beyond have joined the list alongside longstanding favourites.

Awards aren't everything, but speaking as a lifelong participation trophy winner, a pat on the back every now and then certainly sweetens the deal — and for chefs and restaurateurs, there are few pats on the back more substantial than a spot on the local Michelin Guide.

On the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 22, the 2026 selections for the Toronto (and Toronto-area) Michelin Guide were unveiled, giving a swath of new restaurants their due props and, perhaps more importantly, a renewed sense of street cred.

While no new restaurants earned stars this year (but, notably, none lost them either), a total of 17 new restaurants found spots on the Guide for the first time, in both the 'Recommended' and 'Bib Gourmand' categories.

These are all the Ontario restaurants that have been added to the Toronto-area Michelin Guide for the first time in 2026.
