matty matheson KFC collaboration

Ontario chef Matty Matheson has a new menu collab with KFC

We're just a couple of weeks into the new year, and already, there has been a host of new fast-food drops. Now, we have word about what could just be the collab of the year.

Dropping on Jan. 19, KFC and none other than Canadian chef and The Bear star Matty Matheson are serving up a limited-time menu across Canada.

No matter how hungry you are, the new menu will have you drooling, fusing Matheson's bold flavours and style with the KFC favourites we know and love.

Kicking off the limited-time offerings, Canadians can try the Matty Melt Slider, featuring an Original Recipe chicken tender, topped with cheese sauce, caramelized onions and mayo, all stacked on a sesame slider bun.

Similarly, the larger Matty Melt Chicken Sandwich features a triple-breaded chicken fillet and all those delicious toppings and is served on a potato bun.

Of course, being Canadian himself, there had to be poutine. The Matty Mega Melt Poutine features a stack of fries, topped with the classic cheese curds and gravy, as well as cheese sauce, caramelized onions, and popcorn chicken.

Matty Matheson KFCIt doesn't stop there, as Canadians can also get their hands on the Matty Mega Feast, featuring 10 pieces of Canadian farm-raised and hand-breaded chicken, a large popcorn chicken, a Matty Mega Melt Poutine, two sides and three dips of your choice.

Each week, there'll also be a super secret Matty-approved menu item dropping exclusively on the KFC app.

"This menu combines my KFC favourites cranked all the way up and I’m stoked that I get to share it with everyone," says Matty Matheson.

"We're piling cheese, caramelized onions, fried chicken, everything you love to make a few fire menu items. Fill your boots!"

The KFC Canada Matty Matheson menu is available now at participating KFC locations across Canada.
