Toronto Restaurant Openings highlights the latest restaurant openings and closings in Toronto and also gives a preview of what's coming soon. Find us here every Thursday morning.

OPEN NOW

  • Skwish has opened a second location at 1192 Queen St. E. in Leslieville in addition to its original spot in The Beaches, taking over the space that was the short-lived PO Box 1192 (and Rock Lobster before that).
  • French bistro Coq of the Walk has replaced Snakes & Lagers at 488 College St. and is now serving dinner and drinks.
  • Kiva's has opened a bagel bar at 133 Richmond St. W., so those in the Financial District will never go without all-natural, hand-rolled, kettle-boiled bagels again.
  • Pretty Ugly, a Parkdale cocktail bar by Bar Isabel and Bar Raval's Grant Van Gameren, Mike Webster and Robin Goodfellow along with Evelyn Chick, former bar manager of The Harbord Room, has quietly opened at 1237 Queen St. W. With its pedigree, you know the drinks will be good.
