THIS WEEK

• Taste of Toronto at Garrison Common at Fort York is on now until Sunday, June 26. Look forward to 50-plus dishes from Toronto chefs, a marketplace, cooking demos, guided tastings, cook-offs and boutique bars. Check out these highlights from last year's event.
• The Kitchen Aid Mini Market has all sorts of mini freebies in store this weekend. Today, The Drake is serving chicken sliders, Bobby Sue's will dole out carbonara mac on Saturday and Grand Electric is doing pork tinga tacos on Sunday.
• Taste of Asia takes over Kennedy Road, just north of Steeles, from 11 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, June 25 and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 26. The celebration of multiculturalism promises food vendors, a midway and non-stop performances.
• The first Toronto Bakers Market will bring over two dozen Toronto bakers to the heart of Leslieville on Sunday, June 26 from noon to 4 p.m. The massive bake sale is set to run monthly all summer. It's free to attend and takes place at Ralph Thornton Centre (765 Queen St. E.).
• The 7th annual Oceanwise Ceviche Smackdown takes place at The Drake Hotel on Monday, June 27. The cook-off will see The Chase, Jump, The Commodore and Hapa Izakaya face off at 8 p.m. It's free to attend and so is the ceviche!

UPCOMING

• The Depanneur presents the Hot Potato Picnic! featuring food and comedy by MasterChef Canada alumni Ben Miner. Tickets are $50 for the dinner featuring loaded potato skins, potato-crusted fried chicken and sweet potato pie.
• Greenwood Smoke hosts Mexi-Cali Barbacoa on Wednesday, July 13. The Santa Maria-style barbecue costs $60 and will include slow-smoked pulled chicken, brussel sprout and pork belly salads, chili chocolate pie and more.
• Tickets ($35) are on sale now for the Ontario Oyster Festival happening at Rodney's Oyster House on Sunday, July 17. In addition to slurping back bivalves, look forward to live Atlantic lobsters for $20, plenty of drinks and live music.
