U.S. President Donald Trump said that he is giving "serious consideration" to renaming Lake Ontario to "Lake America" in an early morning crashout on social media.
Trump took to his Truth Social platform early Tuesday morning and issued the bizarre proclamation, just the latest barb in a war of words between the U.S. president and Ontario Premier Doug Ford.
Trump stated that "The United States is giving serious consideration to changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America in that we don't expect to [be] doing much business with Ontario any longer."
As you all can't afford gas and groceries and Trump exacerbates things with Canada, Trump is more concerned about changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America.

Trump's latest lash-out comes amid a rapidly escalating Canada-U.S. trade war, coming after the U.S. applied 50 per cent tariffs on roughly $28 billion worth of Canadian goods this past Saturday, including steel, aluminum, and automotive products.
On Monday, Ford and Trump exchanged a series of verbal attacks, with Ford even telling the U.S. leader to "kiss my ass," calling him a "loser," and pointing out his many failed business ventures.
The threat follows the U.S. President's very real move to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America in early 2025, however, the name has only been adopted by some U.S. residents, and maps outside of the United States retain the original "Gulf of Mexico" title.
