GO Transit closures this weekend will include two entire lines pulled from service, along with service reductions on the network's busiest route.
Metrolinx has announced that it will halt service across the full Lakeshore East and Stouffville lines, while cutting service on the busy Lakeshore West Line for the entire weekend of Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7, 2026.
With another busy weekend of events in and around Toronto, here's everything you need to know about the major transit closures ahead.
The entire 50.5-kilometre run of the Lakeshore East Line will be out of service this weekend to accommodate construction work, with GO buses replacing trains between Durham College Oshawa and Pickering GO, then running directly to the Union Station Bus Terminal in downtown Toronto.
Anyone relying on Rouge Hill, Guildwood, Eglinton, Scarborough, and Danforth GO stations will have to find alternative TTC options, as GO buses will not serve these stations.

Trains will not serve the entire 49.6-kilometre Stouffville Line this weekend due to planned construction along the route.
Stops between Old Elm and Unionville GO will be served by replacement GO buses, which will then continue directly to Union Station. Milliken, Agincourt and Kennedy GO will not be served by trains or buses during the closure, and passengers are advised to find TTC alternatives.

While trains will indeed still be running on the Lakeshore West Line this weekend, service is being cut to 30-minute intervals between Oakville GO and Union Station and hourly intervals between West Harbour GO and Union Station.

Passengers headed eastbound to Union and westbound to West Harbour GO are being advised that some train trips will include a 15-to-30-minute connection time.
