Footage of violent road rage assault right in front of Toronto Police station goes viral

A violent road rage incident caught on camera is generating shock online, not least of all because it occurred directly in front of a Toronto Police station.

The footage shows the driver of a black Dodge Ram pickup with the licence plate "LEUTY" violently slamming his car door into the driver of an e-bike, exiting the vehicle while delivering an expletive-laced tirade, and angrily throwing the e-bike to the ground before speeding away.

Making the incident all the more shocking, the incident occurred directly in front of the Toronto Police 55 Division building at the corner of Dundas St. E. and Coxwell.

The video shared on various social media platforms this week has amassed roughly 800 comments in one Reddit post alone, and countless more in reshares across the internet.

The clip shows the assailant screaming at another road user, "Move your f***ing car, move your f***ing bike out the f***ing way, get the f*** out the f***ing road," before angrily throwing the victim's e-bike to the pavement.

It is not known what precipitated the incident, but it is apparent that a confrontation between the two drivers was ongoing before the clip begins.

Commenters allege that the pickup truck belongs to the proprietor of a local contractor, and many have even identified the suspect by name. A Facebook page for the contractor allegedly shown in the footage has been inundated with comments and links to the video.

Toronto Police confirm to blogTO that the incident has indeed led to an arrest.

A police spokesperson states that "the incident is being investigated by police and a man has been charged."

Dylan Cann, 33, of Toronto, has been charged with Assault with a weapon and Mischief Under.

Cann operates Leuty Roofing and Construction — the same contractor identified by video commenters — and previously made local headlines back in 2019 when he was the victim of a random stabbing at the Beaches Jazz Festival.
