Ontario is about to get a Costco warehouse with a twist

A new Costco location is gearing up to open in Ontario this fall, and no, it's not another regular warehouse.

Costco Canada is preparing to open its fourth Costco Business Centre in Ontario, at 3115 Argentia Rd., which is just off Highway 401 and Winston Churchill Boulevard in Mississauga,.

The new store, which is set to open sometime this October, differs from your traditional warehouse. As its name suggests, Costco Business Centres are specifically geared toward businesses and carry thousands of products that are not available at the retailer's regular warehouse locations.

However, these stores still carry all the products you know and love from Costco, including pre-made goods, baking essentials, pantry items, frozen foods, meats, seafood, farm-fresh produce, deli items and snacks.

On top of these items, businesses can shop for restaurant equipment, furniture, office furniture and tabletop accessories, as well as purchase products in bulk. These stores also offer business-friendly hours, too, meaning earlier, more convenient shopping windows for those with jam-packed schedules.

While most Costcos operate from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Business Centres usually open a bit earlier, operating from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The new Business Centre will be the fourth of its kind in Ontario, with existing locations in Scarborough, St. Catharines and Gloucester.

Although the exact opening date for the store has not been announced yet, Costco Canada notes on its website that it is anticipated to open sometime in October 2025. This follows the brand's most recent Ontario addition, a standard warehouse that just launched in Newmarket last month.
