Parade for Canada's Olympians in Toronto this Sunday

Get ready to cheer on Team Canada in Toronto this weekend. That's right, the Beach Village BIA and the Danforth East Community Association are hosting a parade on the city's east side on Sunday to celebrate our local Olympic Athletes.

Gold medal-winning swimmer Penny Oleksiak, who lives in the Beaches and goes to Monarch Park Collegiate, is supposed to be there, reports CP24. Elaine Tanner and Andre DeGrasse were also invited, along with other athletes.

The parade will start in East Lynn Park at 11 a.m. and will eventually move south down Woodbine towards Queen Street East before stopping at Kew Gardens.

So throw on some red-and-white regalia, grab a Canadian flag and head east this Sunday.
