TTC Bus Hijacked at Gunpoint

You won't be getting a free ride on New Year's Eve on the TTC, but some lunatic got a free ride on the Eve of New Year's Eve by hijacking a public transit bus at gunpoint.

The crazy boarded the empty TTC bus at Bay and Wellesley, flashed a handgun, then forced the driver to drive around in the downtown core, down to Lakeshore and back up to Queen & Bay. The hijacker then got off the bus, fled, and has not yet been apprehended.

Thankfully no one was physically harmed, but I'm sure this wasn't a fun experience for the driver.

The suspect is described as white, in his early 40s, 6'1", and was wearing a black suede jacket, jeans, and a red hat. Call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS if you think you can help.
