Footwork

Footwork is one of the only clubs in town that has chosen their lines and stuck with them. You wanna hear good house music or techno, like the real stuff not remixes and commercial and mashups, like the old school music head stuff, then Footwork is your game.

It's hard to find and a lot of times when I've told people to go, they end up at the Brant House down the street by accident. Located down an alley south of Adelaide and North of King, you get the feeling you're going to an afterhours when you walk in, in fact they are open until 5AM, so it's a bit of both.

The last time I was there, they were rocking some serious security, like Guvernment on a Saturday level security which I thought was a bit weird, since it attracts mainly older club goers with real jobs who can handle their booze. On this particular night it was co-owner, Steph's Birthday and Matt C was back from the dead to spin (celebrating his BDay too). I went early en route to another party, and was surprised to find it pretty full at 11PM.

They have drink specials till midnight on weekends and the sound system is top notch, especially since it probably only holds a couple hundred people.

Weeklies include Rehab Fridays with rotating residents including TK Deko-ze, and Baby Joel as well as Saturday nights with special guests. It's not the biggest and the baddest, but it's a good time every time and that's pretty damn good these days.
