Speed Dating, Powers Style

Solitary Sundays are a drag when you'd rather be snuggling, artist Zeesy Powers acknowledges -- so she's sharing the love with as many short-term suitors as possible.

On the Web site for XPACE Gallery, Powers proclaims:

"Everyone loves to be in love, but dating is tedious when the first bloom fades. Drawing out the inevitable is worse than being lonely. Actually, that's not true. There is nothing worse than being lonely. I will be your girlfriend for three minutes.

... No risk of rejection, no messy break-up.

Half-way between speed dating and emotional gangbang."

Chutzpah? Sure, but it's no surprise coming from this kochleffel among various indie arts scenes whose projects, to name just two, have encompassed painting pictures of boys' bedrooms and Lost In Translation As a Twenty-Second Monologue.

Will she spoon? Should you bring Mom to meet her? The Powers that be only knows.
