Mixed Martial Arts on the Rise
The sport of mixed martial arts is exploding in popularity due to the success of season 1 of The Ultimate Fighter reality series on Spike TV. Impactmma.com is dedicated to covering the mixed martial arts and submission grappling with a focus on Canadian athletes.
Lisa Pancino and Derrek Verschuren are behind the site and are both respected journalists in the sport as they have had their work featured in highly regarded media outlets such as Full Contact Fighter Magazine, Showdown Combat Sports Magazine, Sherdog.com as well as MMA-fighter.com.
Both Lisa and Derrek are ardent fans of the sport and are willing to travel, most times solely by car, to places such as Atlantic City, Montreal, Las Vegas as well as Long Beach, California and Racine, Wisconsin.
