This Week in Theatre: May 16-23
Hey all. The weather is showing signs of well... who the heck knows. So staying in or going out seems to be based on whether we need an arc or not. Assuming the nights are safe and a 'play is the thing' then here are a few shows either starting, ending or running this week that I think you might really enjoy.
Crave - Nightwood Theatre's newest production has award winning director Jennifer Tarver working with four great performers each named after a letter of the alphabet in an intense and sometimes funny drama. Being called by some as 'one of the best productions of the year'. Runs to May 19 at the Young Centre.
Twilight Cafe - Sara and Stanley, a seperated couple, meet up again in Trinidad to discuss a possible business venture. What they get is the chance to do and say everything they haven't regarding the relationship and thier past. Runs to May 27 and brought to you by Theatre Archipelago
The Last Dance of the Dark Cloaked Avenger - Triple Take/Beautiful Lie Productions presents the story of a 1940s radio announcer who is found dead outside his home. The dark comedy plays out like a radio serial in this mystery play. Runs to May 27at the Alumnae Theatre.
