The New Orleans Saints are not relocating to Toronto

Despite Councillor Doug's Ford's hopes and dreams, the New Orleans Saints won't be relocating to Toronto. Sure, we'd all like a world champion (only two years removed) to represent the city on the gridiron but it's sadly not meant to be. Yesterday, the New Orleans Saints were quick to issue a statemement. In a terse email Greg Bensel, VP of Communications for the football club, wrote "Reports about the Saints as a potential team moving to Toronto are completely false. The New Orleans Saints are committed to the city of New Orleans."

Ford has since apologized for the remark which he admits was "off the cuff".
