Roughrider Fans at Airport Arrivals

roughriderfans

Roughrider fans arrive early this morning (12:03 AM) on a flight from Calgary just in time for a quick sleep before today's big game.

Crystal and Mike (left), from Calgary, are "massive" fans and decided this week to come and support their team's first cup appearance in almost 20 years. Mike and Chris (right), from Regina, are season ticket holders and bought their Grey Cup tickets on e-bay earlier this week for $300. All four will return home on Monday.

I was at the airport to pick up a friend and was so happily amused by the energy of all the green jerseys in the terminal. Apparently it was the same for flights from Winnipeg (except the jerseys were blue).

I haven't been and don't plan on attending any Grey Cup events, but be sure to give a huge welcome to all the fans from out of town if you see them.

I've been to a few of the Grey Cup events and I think this year the ones I've been to have been unusually good.

Still, it would have been better if the Argos won last week!
