Toronto Motorcycle Show 2006

Posted by Ryan C / December 7, 2006

I don't own a motorcycle, but I desperately want one despite all the reports that the two-wheeled rides are somewhat less safe than the standard sedan. I know I'm not alone. Well, starting tomorrow at the Metro Toronto Convention Center, the 2006 Motorcycle Show will let me live vicariously through others, with new models on display, professional riders having meet and greets, as well as a few activities to keep the kids busy.

With 50% more floorspace over last year's event, the expected turnout of 35,000 fans will have plenty of area to roam. Some of the highlights will include:

  • Parts Canada Redline Fashion Show
  • VOODOO Airbrushing Custom Painting Demos
  • Memory Lane Vintage and Classic Bike Display
  • Yamaha Riding Academy for Kids
There's plenty of info about the exhibitors available at the Motorcycle Show's events page. For further info, call the MTCC at 416-585-8000. The engines start tomorrow in the MTCC's South Hall (255 Front Street West), and will be running until the 10th. Tickets are 15$ for adults, 9 for juniors, and 35$ for families (2 adults, 2 juniors). Kids under 6 get in free. You can save a buck on adult tickets when purchasing online. Ticket booths are only accepting cash, so withdraw money before you show up!
