Williams Landing

Williams LandingWilliams Landing comes to Liberty Village from the same owners of South of Temperance and Joy Bistro Bar. It's just what you'd expect from a place trying to reel in the local condo crowd - a locally inspired and accessible menu and a massive patio where you can watch TFC fans lining up to get into Brazen Head across the street.

There are a lot of TFC fans that go to Williams Landing because they know the food and atmosphere are much better

Great place really friendly serving and management Team in place. Have to say the bar tenders are good. Ask for a shot called The Hulk. The food is very good and they serve one of the best Burgers in the city.

One thing I would say though on the bill there is always an 18% service charge as standard. You can change it ( I always do) so its not a big deal but if you're reading this guys pls chop it as its a bit silly.

Look forward to my next visit!

I met some friends at William's for a birthday party. When I got there the rest of the party had been there for over 2 hours. They warned me that the service was pretty bad that night. After waiting a half hour for our server to appear I finally went up to the bar to get most of our drinks as our server was non existent. Food was slow to come and our "server" forgot desserts and entrees. As most of the people who were there have worked in the service industry we found it appalling that this was the service we were receiving. It seems when they get busy all the service standards are gone out of the window. I will not be returning here nor will the others I was with.

Table for Redemption / August 23, 2012 at 01:54 pm
I ate 2 redemption burgers this week. Toronto has made me somewhat of a burger connoisseur. Any other burger than the ones at Burger's Priest or Stockyards has become subpar or too expensive. The redemption burger is my new favourite because I can enjoy it on a patio. I think my limit will be 3 per week, max.

Great decor & atmosphere but my party of 8 was constantly forgotten about by the wait staff. We waited over an hr to receive our food. I don't want to say it was the servers' fault as they were visibly run off their feet... Maybe they were short-staffed but waiting yet another hour for our incorrect bills was ridiculous! If I were to ever go back it would certainly be for only for drinks and music -- the DJ on Friday was AMAZING & made their lacklustre service more bearable.

Calling all 9-0-5 ers! If you are from the 9-0-5 area code please get here right away to take your seat barside at Williams Landing.

No seriously, the atmosphere is okay but the food is below average and priced above what it should be. I find the menu choices are few and unappetizing. I'd rather stay home then eat here. Nice service staff, clean and vibrant atmosphere, but basically this is a Milestones with less options, but same "packaged food" from some huge food manufacturing conglomerate that delivers their ingredients in massive plastic bins. Enjoy!

Nice for a drink in the summer but beware of smokers (open air patio).

My girlfriends and I sometimes visit William's Landing for drinks.
On our most recent visit we sat at the bar and ordered drinks and appetizers (as usual).
We were served by a very young and thus, inexperienced female CHINESE BARTENDER. She, the bartender, who's name I shall not mention (she's the only person who fits that description, who works behind the bar) did not know the names of the house brands of wine, which bottled beer was available (without looking first) or which brands of Gin were available! This bartender also had such an attitude with the female patrons seated at the bar in and around us.
Once my friends and I decided to pay our tab, we continuously tried to get the bartenders' attention, but she just ignored us and kept flirting with the male patrons, flaunting herself at them. WE WERE DISGUSTED BY THIS EMPLOYEE AND HER LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AND GRACE! Shame on you and shame on Williams Landing co-workers for not reporting this terrible employee!

Try shouting 'NO SERVICE EQUALS NO TIP!" in her face a few times. It might just sink into her addled and tiny little mind.

I have been served by this "female Chinese bartender" you speak of on many occasions. I am a woman and I always go with girl friends. She is extremely friendly and I am always happy to be served by her.

I love the female Chinese bartender. She is very good at her job. Please tip her much! ha ha
Not Impressed / July 23, 2013 at 03:16 pm
Went this past weekend for a friends birthday. Although the line was slightly long it is Toronto so I wasn't upset. However, while waiting in line I wasn't impressed that the 3 guys in front of us kept on adding to their party and more 'new' friends kept on showing up. In the end when we were FINALLY close to the front of the line the group in front of us ended up going from 3ppl to 12 if not more. Which meant we were never getting in(also there is a rope near the front and the bouncer could see ppl cutting in line and didn't say anything). On top of that the bouncers/security were letting people they knew who were waiting behind us near the back of the line(which they clearly weren't waiting for long) into the bar. This of course caused us to wait longer. It was almost 1am before we gave up and went to the bar across the street which many ended up doing because of this. What is the point in waiting in line if this is going to happen? This is a great way to loose customers for sure. This was my first time in Liberty Village and it wasn't impressionable at all. I was excited to try this new bar but now, I'll prob never go there.

Great ambiance bad crowd. Just when i was walking in the front door, a group of girls stumbled out and one barked 'get in...Asian'! I was appalled. That almost started a brawl. I didnt even know her! I made a remark back and her friends were being notoriously rude. That ruined my night

My first visit was this past Saturday evening, March 15. Enjoyed a few pints at the bar. The service from all staff was excellent. I chose not to order any food because I had eaten prior to my arrival, however, I will check out the food menu on my next visit .... hopefully soon!

William's Landing used to be an excellent chill out spot. It's evolved into a pretentious douchefest that blasts music so loudly you can barely hear yourself think. The staff are super arrogant. They need a reckoning.

Hi there!

We would like to reach out and let you know that since your visit (or since your review) our menu has changed over several times. We only bring in fresh and organic (local) produce, and all of our burgers, fries, sauces, dressings, and desserts are made in house. None of our products are frozen. We invite you to check us out again sometime in the future. We welcome you at any time! :)

By far the worst Restaurant / Bar I’ve ever been too.

The food was beyond disgusting, I had a soup and it tasted like Cardboard would if soaked in room temperature water, it wasn’t even hot!

The staff was rude and disrespectful. They had no manners or customer service skills at all.

I will never, I repeat never go back here again.

If you are looking for a place to be treated poorly and given the worst food imaginable, this is the spot.

Worst service I've ever had. We were there for a business meeting and my boss put the tab on his card and I was paying the tip. I had 20$ ready but before I finished putting it on the table she flipped on my boss for not tipping her. The money was clearly being put on the table at this time. On top of it all she was horrible and didn't give any of our clients refills. I refuse to go back to this garbage place. She had long brown hair and barely a skirt on. When my boss knocked water over she basically gave him a lap dance to clean it up. His wife was mortified.

Hi Angela,

We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your experience here at Williams Landing. My name is Emalee and I am one of the managers here at the restaurant. We teach our staff never to challenge a tip and to be grateful at all times, so it is very alarming to hear that this has happened. We want to make sure that this doesn't happen again. Do you remember anything else about your server? If you have a copy of the bill, their name will be printed at the top of the itemized copy. We can also look up your bill if you can tell us what kind of card was used and what the total amount was. Feel free to email me at so we can chat further, and investigate this matter.

All the best,
Emalee F
