Brazen Head

Brazen Head is a two-story traditional Irish Pub in Liberty Village. There's plenty of room, big screen TVs and traditional Irish pub food.

I had big hopes for this place, but the food sucks. No taste, overcooked, you name it, this place has it. I like a busy bar as it adds to the vibe, but when they cheap out on staffing the bar and the waitresses have to work large areas, it's not appealing to go back.
My wife and I had brunch at Brazen. Great food but somewhat slow service. (I don't know why most restaurants in Toronto have at least one waiter or waitress that are really good at avoiding their tables either via eye contact or other evasive techniques.)
Hasn't this place only been open for a few months? Strange it's already one of Toronto's Best. I prefer a Pub with a bit of history to it.
Prospective patrons should note that this place does not hire male servers, only food runners (a position that receives a significantly lower tip out). It is essentially the Irish Pub version of Hooters.
Also, the food has consistently been sub par on all my visits.
I have not had a bad meal there yet. By far one of my Fav Pubs. But why did they take Moosehead off the taps???
It is hard to believe that the owners of this place are the same as Mill Street, Murphy's Law etc.
I understand that they offer pub fare but it had to be my second worst eating experience in Toronto.I was with a group of friends and each one of us had our apps delivered at different times.Asked the server for a glass of water and when it arrived it was a glass of water.....no ice no lime no lemon. One of my guests asked for ice water and once again a plain glass of water.
The bison burger (slidders ) must of been killed years ago , saw dust between two buns is a close discription.
If they think that this place is going to be their flag ship location they are way off.
This is another pet peeve of mine .....I am a big tipper (15 to 18%) but when there is NO INTERACT and you have to use one of their machines which costs me between 3 and 4 dollars.I will be taking that away from the server, your servers are the key individuals in your business.
When 4 out of 5 friends are disappointed with their meals, it says something about the place. I don't think I'd go back (to eat, anyhow).
We recently took our friends from England here. Their first comment when walking into this place:
"Isn't this an Irish pub? Then why are the waitresses wearing Scottish kilts?"
another fake irish pub...
They totally have male servers. I had one the other day. Pricey pints!
They need to replace their "seat yourself / please wait to be seated" stand at the entrance...it nearly took off one of my toes today as the sign isn't attached to the stand, it just hangs on it...nice welcome!!! I wonder where else they are cutting costs in this place...looks like all the money was spent on the construction.
I sat down for a late lunch one day and they sat me in a section on the patio that wasn't even open! I saw 4 servers about 10 different times and not one of them got around to my table in 25 minutes. I'm a server myself, so i had a little bit of patience, but 25 minutes is absolutely ridiculous. AGREED, worst service EVERRRRRRRRRR! Except for the Server named MATT! ask for his section if you ever go.
I've been here on several occasions and have on most of those occasions found mould on my food. The waiting staff and even the manager weren't apologetic and didn't offer me any kind of compensation
Worst place. Tried to flag down the waitress for our cheque. She looked at me, and walked right by. WTF? This place's a dump.
yeah, but do they wear kilts too?
Terrible service....terrible service and its not cheap..
so many better pubs in the city!
they hire young people that just dont care...its drinking money for them,,,,
hire people who care and work hard...
i have many friends that have gone here and the say the same!
I go to the Brazen Head regularly, the staff are phenomenal and always go out of their way to make me feel at home, most even know me by name now and I usually have a drink delivered to me before I even order one, they know what I like. Sometimes, I will admit the service can falter, but this is usually on TFC days or concert days when everyone comes in at once. All in all though, I've never been disappointed, its always a friendly place and they have some great menu items and lots of beers on tap.
This place fits perfectly into the neighbourhood of Abercrombies. Its like little Mississauga in the heart of the city. Avoid or go the real thing in the real suburbs.
Brazen Head has the same medicocre food as a franchaise quick-serve joint but it is charging upscale gastropub prices.
Nobody with any tastebuds would eat there a second time.
Queen and King streets are both teeming with so many better restaurants and pubs. Don't get sucked into this place, it's all style and no substance.
ya, because it's the servers fault they don't have interact ya knob. u are probably a lame tipper, so stop lieing!
