Via Allegro TorontoVia Allegro is a much-lauded Italian restaurant in Etobicoke. THIS is fine Italian dining. Try their daily rissotto or and of their fresh pasta.

I went here last night with my wife for our 1 year wedding anniversary and had the greatest rizzoto of my life. Drenched in truffle oil I alomost lost my mind it was so good.

Do not expect cheap this dish was $32 however its worth it.

To top it off they have a wine list that reads like the bible and the worlds most extensive whisky collection.

Since it was our special day they also gave us a couple glasses of prosecco on the house.

A great night.

Such a great, intimate spot for dates.. especially for a memorable one like an anniversary! Their wine collection alone is grounds enough to drive all the way out to Etobicoke, I find this restaurant has always been one of my favorites and I have never eaten a bad dish. Expensive, but worth every penny, great place! Especially for being located in a strip mall.

I have to second apetimberlake's comments about going for their anniversary. My husband and I went here in December for our 1st anniversary during the middle of a snowstorm when we couldn't drive the distance to the restaurant we had reservations at. The staff at Via Allegro were wonderful, fit us into the busy restaurant, and served us a special dessert and proseco to make us feel special! The food was phenomenal and reminded us of the food we had on our honeymoon in Italy....would go back anytime - it's fine dining, but not at all pretentious!

My fiancé and I had dinner there with my family last Sunday.

I was impressed by the service and the appetizers, however, when it came to entrées I was severely disappointed.

The food was overcooked and over-salted and generally not the quality you expect to get when paying at least $35 per entrée.

It was overall a frustrating experience and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
