Andy's Fish and Chips is not your typical fish and chips joint. Located in the new colourful plaza on Markham Road and Steeles Avenue East, this small and rather shabby restaurant actually offers a tantalizing combination of the regular fare of fried fish and fries with Asian dishes (no, seriously) such as chow mein and General Tao chicken. The place is owned by a Caribbean owner and the chef is Chinese, hence the interesting amalgamation of offerings. They also have interesting daily specials, case in point: fried shark for under $5 on Wednesdays.
