Steam Whistle July Art Show Launch for "Manifest"

Steam Whistle Brewing is proud to present “Manifest”; a month long art exhibit featuring both established and emerging artists as they dive into the question of identity, culture and influence. We invite you to join us for the opening on Wednesday, July 2nd 2014 from 7p.m. to 11p.m. at the Steam Whistle gallery (The Roundhouse, 255 Bremner Blvd., Toronto).

“Manifest” showcases two groups of artists who send their viewers on an introspective journey with their paintings, drawings, photography and sculptures. One group explores place and environment and its enormous impact on our daily lives – the places we live, the cities we travel to and the different cultures and lifestyles we are exposed to. The other group explores the insubstantial endeavor of solidifying human identity – a look at how the true nature of the mind is manipulated in order to consent to the understanding of the individual’s ego and an attempt to chime in on the ageless dispute of “Who am I?”

The series is the perfect appetizer before the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, the largest of its kind in Canada, happening from July 4 to 6th. “Manifest” features many artists from Toronto’s own OCAD University and other renowned Canadian art schools.

Opening Reception: July 2nd, 2014 7-11 p.m.

Art Show on Display: July 2nd – 31st, 2014 during brewery’s regular open hours
