TIME Festival Feat. Soulwax, Erol Alkan, A-Trak & More

This Sunday August 10th, TIME festival, one of my most anticipated events this summer will warm the waters of lake Ontario at the historic Sunnyside Pavillion.

Since Canada Day, when I stumbled into one of the MILK parties at Sunnyside Pavillion, I've been craving to go to the TIME festival.

There is something very special about the venue. It makes you forget you're in Toronto and instead you feel you're on a magical island.

EMBRACE and all their partners have pooled together some prime international talent including Mathew Dear and A-Trak with locals like VND/LSM and Jokers of The Scene.

I'm particularly excited about Soulwax which I've been meaning to see for a really long time. Their single NY Lipps has been one of my favourtie tracks to party to in the last few years, and their wide ranging influence on other new artists has been stunning.

I'm also thrilled to see Erol Alkan whose show I missed a few months ago at The Social. I heard it got out of control. I truly admire his production skills and can't wait to see him perform live.

When I saw the complete line-up I didn't understand how they were going to fit all of them into one day and one venue. But I've recently discovered that there will be 2 rooms.

The ON TIME STAGE will feature more of the Electro/House sounds, and the TIME OUT STAGE, which will feature more of the Techno sounds.

So get ready for Sunday. Get your energy with a good brunch at Easy. Put your sunscreen on and get ready to dance. And don't forget to repeat the mantra rain rain go away.

NOTE: A good and easy way to get to Sunnyside Pavilion is to get to the bottom of Roncesvalles and Queen and cross the bridge south towards the beach.
