He's on tour promoting his newest release Songs for the Road. In addition to doing an impressive live one-man-band loop-building performance he's also done a number of excellent single-take videos, one of which appears after the jump.

Here's your chance to win a pair of tickets to catch him live in Toronto on Feb 19th at El Mocambo.

"Go to Hell" looks like one take to me, as does "State of the Union".

There's a glitch/jump thing in State where a skilled editor could make a second take fit seamlessly. I'm not saying that's what happened, but it's very doable. See also: Children of Men.

Thank you Jerrold! My friend and I enjoyed ourselves very much and thought David put on a fantastic show. I know most were there to see Ingrid Michaelson but we thought his was the performance of the night by a mile.
