Hippies, kids, dogs, retired ravers, and people fortunate enough to randomnly stumble upon good times... rejoice! Promise Cherry Beach Sundays are back.

Last night was the Canada Day long weekend version of the weekly party down at the beach, and it was as enjoyable as ever. Good tunes, great weather, but most importantly, good people all there for the same reason - to end the weekend together - smiling, dancing and frolicking in the trees. Samba Elegua absolutely blew me away.

While the location has changed slightly (it's now right by the main parking lot at the foot of Cherry St because of the new, incoming soccer fields), it's pretty much the same great event.

Tune in to their Facebook group page for updates on future events. And of course, good behaviour and a leave-no-trace mantra means that the weekend parties can continue all summer long. More photos from last night after the jump...

I'm hoping to come to Toronto in November of 2008 for a year long possibly life long stay and I just wanted to say thanks! This site is amazing seeing what goes on over there is only driving me harder to ensure that I make my move a fact more than a plan! The event looks amazing I cant wait to be there next year!
