Saddle Up Country and Western Dance Party

Posted by MikeR / May 24, 2007

20070525_saddleup.jpgIf Johnny Cash moves your ass, then I have a new Toronto dance party for you. Saddle Up is the new hoedown for hipsters.

If the excuse to make a trip to Value Village isn't enough for you, then the fact that it's in a vintage legion hall combined with the $3.50 beer and drinks should be enough to convince you... naturally, this completely depends on if you have any interest at all at getting down to country music. That's right, I said the other C word.

Having quite surprisingly learned that 50s and 60s music could make me groove, I figure there's no harm in giving hick music a try. That is of course, as long as my sister isn't there. Awkward.

Friday, May 25th, 10:30pm, $5

I haven't been to a hoedown showdown like this since my first (and last) Aggie pub at U of Guelph. lol.
