Drunkula Funkula

I was going to go with something really cheesy for a headline, like "Drunkula Doesn't Suck", but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

Not only would it hurt my credibility, but it would be insulting to one of the most rockin' bands in Toronto today.

It's like getting sucker punched in the face by rock.

Drunkula took to Bovine stage Friday night at midnight, and proceeded to blow the doors off the place. Drunkula is loud, fast, hard rock, just the way mom likes it.

The band comes from a great pedigree, including members of The Illuminati and The Sinisters. Andrew, Steve, Nick and Brian take elements of loud blues, rock, punk, add a splash of awesome and throw down.

Andrew and Nick share singing duties, with Nick's melodies being a perfect compliment to Andrew's growling vocals. Steve's guitar is loud and proud, and Brian hits the drums with a vengeance.

Drunkula frequently play around town, most notably at The Bovine Sex Club and The Silver Dollar. Bring your dancing shoes!
