Now's a good a time as any to show some love to Toronto rapper Arabesque. Since his indie album Frenzy Of Renown dropped last November, he's kept things moving, appearing in shows around town, promoting worthy causes and collecting kudos along the way.

According to his Myspace page, he's set to drop a new single.

Big up Arabesque, one of the most consistent urban acts. I rate this guy next to K-os, Saukes and Kardinal. One of the few Canadian rappers with an actual following.

He held a Freedom Fighter Rally with war Child with some pretty big bands. It was a lot of fun.

i caught that war child benefit - arabesque didn't even perform. but you know who RIPPED the show up was 4th Pyramid! I love this cat man! and he's local! How come the whole city isn't talking about this guy??! That's what i left thinking! I mean after i saw that show i went to his myspace page www.myspace.com/4thpyramid and dude is seriously prolific. it's crazy. he's worked with some BIG names. it's absolutely nutzo to me how narrow our scope is here. dude's got a crazy following in the states. makes me wonder where i been at all this time.....
