King Khan @ The Comfort Zone NXNE

Posted by MikeR / June 12, 2006

king_khan_468.jpgBy Saturday night, the word had spread that the hottest show at NXNE was a 10 piece funk-soul band from Berlin called King Khan and His Shrines. For many in the crowd this was their third night in a row at the Comfort Zone experiencing, participating in, and dancing their asses off to the spectacle that is King Khan. Easily the best show I've seen in the last 6 months.

I completely agree. Any band (and any band who's music I hadn't previously heard) that can get me to put down the camera and *dance* (I don't dance), wins my respect. This was hands down the best show of the 32 I saw the entire weekend.
