Drake Underground Goes Live

Dunno where to go tomorrow night? Aporia Records has a hot event cookin' this Sat at the Drake Hotel Underground with Beneath Augusta and Madrid to name a few.

Doors open at 8:30pm and it's 10 bucks at the door... however if you have a $20 Canadian Music Week wristband, you are good to see shows all week at any venue... and when I say all week, I mean until tomorrow, which is when CMW ends. By the way, what's up with that 1996esque CMW poster art? It brings laser discs, neon airbrush and a poor-man's karaoke-video to mind...

While plugging tomorrow's event, it's gonna be quite an evening for Aporia, as they are launching a new technology called UME. It's basically a portal that gives you access to the band's live shows. For example, if you own Beneath Augusta's You Gotta Come Down Sometime, you can pop it into your computer tomorrow night and you'll get to watch the show live from the comforts of home! This lovely technology should come in handy for our friends in Nunavut who won't be able to zip down to the Drake tomorrow... but I'll be there to see it live!
