Thank You Toronto sells hats for a good cause

Posted by Natalia Manzocco / August 25, 2014

thank you torontoDid you line up for the OVO pop-up shop earlier this month? Yeah, everyone else and their mom did, too. I saw a guy biking down the street in an owl shirt and a "The 6" hat last week. Hometown pride is fantastic, but Thank You, Toronto has a way to rep your home city that's a little more under-the-radar.

The brand-new fashion line actually started as an Instagram account devoted to all things Toronto. After garnering tens of thousands of followers, they decided to use their powers for good. The company has a pair of snapback designs for sale, branded with classy, retro logos declaring the wearer's love for Toronto. For every one of the $39.99 hats sold, they've vowed to donate one meal to a person in need, with more charitable campaigns planned on the horizon.

Nice to see Torontonians finally developing a sense of pride, instead of always automatically apologizing for the city and putting it down. A step in the right direction!

Like the hats is a positive. I always like to see the charity affiliation "they've vowed one meal to a person in need". Which charity or food bank are they working with?

Toronto made me what I am today.

What a crap town. (I'm here against my will.)

Drake, stop trying to make "the 6th" happen. It's never going to happen! other words: love these hats. I'd love one.

Are you in prison?

No not in prison. Mommy and Daddy moved here when I was 26 so I had no choice but to move with them if I wanted to keep my sweet basement pad, Mommies home cooking and unlimited downloads.

Where in Toronto can you purchase these? or is it in an online shop somewhere?

Go to the website to purchase.

these hats are of extremely low quality, I would not recommend them at all. Mine basically fell apart after I sweat a bit into it. DO NOT BUY OR SUPPORT THIS 'CHARITY'

What were you sweating gr1? Acid?
Jess / September 12, 2014 at 08:28 pm
Weird Gr1, i just got mine today, and the only thing that would fall apart would be the patch, but it was embroidered on. Maybe they have upgraded since you've ordered.
