Born and raised in Toronto, Neky grew up aspiring to be a successful entrepreneur. His passion for music allowed him to escape from the harsh realities of life and find a state of peace. His fresh face attitude towards life and unique style quickly became the foundation of who Neky is today. His passion for music and success finally amalgamated when his ability to mix and play with sounds was realized a few years ago. Casually experimenting with a friends turntables, Neky learned of his talent when his ability to hear music allowed him to create unique mixes. After acquiring his first set of turntables, Neky began mixing tracks for his close friends at parties and quickly gained recognition in the industry.

Living in a western society with a combined South Asian and East African background, Neky was exposed to a variety of music that have influenced his style of DJing and contribute to his unique sound. Nekys ability to understand his audience allows him to cater to all crowds by integrating old and new school Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae and House; he has even been known to throw in a little bhangra and African beats!

Since 2004 Neky has been establishing his name in the Toronto nightlife scene. In a few short years Neky has built a vast portfolio of performances at Torontos top nightlife venues - Guverment, Courthouse and Afterlife, just to name a few. He has also been resident DJ for Oxygen and Finnegans Wake.

The recent release of his latest mixtape No KiD-ing Around vol 2 along with tributes to Micheal Jackson and Jay-Z, undoubtedly demonstrate Nekys unrivalled talent, passion and hard-work. With the worst behind him, his future holds no boundaries
