Writer, editor, poet, performer, horror know-it-all, Lizzie Violet is the dark little girl, with a crooked smile. A lover of all things creepy, including horror silent movies, she is also a well known Zombiephile. She is currently working on a novel, a poetry manuscript, a play called Arsenic and Turmeric and a treatment for The Last Single Girl and a few of the current books she edited, Best New Werewolf Tales, Volume One and Fatty Goes To China Royston Tester can be found at Amazon.com. Her own writing can be found amongst some of Canadas finest literary magazines including Carousel, Nest and NorthWord.

Lizzie has featured at Pride, Nuit Blanche, Wonder Women IV, V and VI, Live Words, Plasticine Poetry Series, Handshake Gallery, The Beautiful & The Damned and WordSpell reading series and was part of the weeklong Wonderfest. Lizzie has her own monthly show called Lizzie Violets Cabaret Noir and stars in The Redhead Revue along with Heather Babcock and Lacey Wilson. Lizzie recently won The Best Originals at Hirut.

Valentino Assenza

Valentino has been writing and performing poetry in Toronto for over two decades. He has published numerous pieces of poetry in various journals including Labour Of Love, and Descant. He has published four chapbooks of poetry his latest Make Our Piece With Rattlesnakes Lyricalmyrical Press. In 2009 and 2010 Valentino had the honor of representing Toronto as he was a member of the Toronto Poetry Slam team and got the opportunity to compete in the Canadian Festival Of Spoken Word in Victoria, and the National Poetry Slam in the United States. From 2003 2009 Valentino ran his own poetry series Cryptic Chatter at the then Renaissance Caf on the Danforth. He currently sits on the Toronto Poetry Project which helps to facilitate the bi-weekly Toronto Poetry Slam at the Drake Hotel, and the ArtBar Poetry series committee which helps to run the weekly ArtBar Poetry series, Canada's longest running weekly poetry-only series.
