Vivi Sorensen - Uaajeerneq: Storytelling through Mask Dance
Planet IndigenUS 2015! Born in Nuuk, Greenland, Vivi Sorensen is an Inuk mask dancer, actress and TV personality. Uaajeerneq, the East Greenlandic form of storytelling through mask dance, was traditionally performed during the winter months as a respite from the cold. Today it is performed for entertainment and celebration.
