Ukrainian Festival

The 18th annual Bloor West Village Toronto Ukrainian Festival will be in full swing from September 12th at 5pm until to September 14th at 7pm, 2014. Named one of the “Top 100 Festivals or Events” in Ontario by Festivals & Events Ontario (FEO) for the second year in a row, the BWV Toronto Ukrainian Festival is one of the premier Ukrainian festivals in the world, attracting some 600,000 visitors of widely diverse backgrounds from across Canada, the US and abroad to its free, family-focused, three-day street event. Highlights include two full-time stages for international and local performers including Edmonton’s world-renowned Shumka Ukrainian Dancers, delicious food, cultural displays, a children’s midway, the crowd-pleasing parade, a sidewalk sale by area merchants, a beverage garden, a film festival, vendor kiosks, buskers and street dances, all located on Bloor St. West between Jane St. and Glendonwynne Rd. in Toronto. This year’s festival includes a special tribute exhibit “A Journey Through Maidan.” Catch the Ukrainian spirit!
