TWM/iM: Sleepy Mean, This Ship, Hill Valley Lightning & these lights @ Gladstone Hotel

If you could live in any music scene in Canada where would you live? I might choose Halifax and part of that reason is because I love This Ship, I love their band, their ethic and the people. We are so happy to present their Toronto tour date. Joined by amazing locals Sleepy Mean, Hill Valley Lightning and a great up and coming act in these lights. Plus you have Friday off work! Expand for full info, set times etc:

these lights are a super slick emerging 6 piece soaring indie-rock outfit with a bunch of momentum after winning the U of T Winterfest battle of the bands vs some seriously talented competition. They are playing indie-rock with groove and soul and awesome two and three part vocals. Get out early for this band!

Hill Valley Lightning: https://www.facebook.com/hillvalleylightning at 10:20:

First time I heard of this band they had a different name and were based in London but are now playing out of Toronto and are playing rock n roll in a refreshing nod to the 60's with a modern Ty Segall style twist. Grab your best dancing shoes and shirt and get out to take a spin on the Gladstone dance floor.

This Ship: https://www.facebook.com/friendshipsetsail at 11:10:

This Ship is constantly evolving and improving on their sound. There was a time when the band were a dancey indie-pop leaning outfit and over the last few years they've been sharpening their teeth and adding a darker more rockin' edge to their sound. That has been taken to a new level with their newest music which is as progressive as anything they've released to date. The spring of 2015 is going to see them doing a lot of touring and being in Toronto in April and May. Don't miss the boat: Yes I went there.

Sleepy Mean: http://sleepymean.bandcamp.com/ at 12:05:

Sleepy Mean have been and continue to be a very well respected band from people who are in the know about what makes great music. They make some of the most interesting music in Toronto and have a live show that backs it up. Go to the bandcamp and hear for yourself and hey for once you can stay out late on a Thursday night and not pay the price for it.
