In past years, the trans community march had faced serious challenges with festival organizers. This year, festival organizers took the welcome and necessary step of consulting with the community before making key decisions.

Consequently, the trans march 2016 route meets many of the safety and community engagement concerns that were previously problematic. Of course, there is still room for improvement, but this has been a very positive step towards progress and healing.

In the interest of unity and to support further healing we are endorsing the 2016 trans march route:

Rally from 7:00 pm to 7:45 pm at Church St. & Hayden St

March begins at 8:00 pm

Church St @ Hayden St. North to Bloor St.

Bloor St. @ Church St West to Yonge

Yonge St @ Bloor St. South to Carlton/College St.

Carlton St @ Yonge St. East to Allan Gardens
