Toronto Festival of Trees

Do you have young readers who love to read? Do your young readers want to meet your favourite authors and illustrators? Have they ever been to a “rock concert” for reading? This is their chance – be part of the largest literary event for young readers in Canada, the Festival of Trees!

Every year, almost 10,000 young readers, parents, teachers, and library staff attend the Festival of Trees for a fun-filled day of award ceremonies, autographing, workshops with authors/illustrators, exciting activities and games (for chances to win prizes and books), plus local entertainment to keep everyone excited!

Winning authors and illustrators of the Forest of Reading programs will be presented with awards for Blue Spruce, Silver Birch, Red Maple, White Pine, Le Prix Peuplier, Le Prix Tamarac, and Le Prix Tamarac Express.

Don’t miss out on Canada’s largest literary Festival for young people!

This event is open to the public and runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 12 and May 13.
