They Say We're Apathetic: a youth townhall to fix the voting system

Our current electoral system does not encourage political parties to work on issues that matter to young people.

PM Trudeau and the Liberal Party promised to replace our broken voting system in time for the next election - so we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to push for a voting system that better represents us! A new voting system will improve our ability to move forward on issues we care about, like rising housing and food costs, the cost of education and youth unemployment.

Have your say on this important issue and participate in our youth consultation! The event will be roundtable format - so that you have a chance to engage in group discussion and express your opinion directly. Your voice will be included in a report submitted directly to the government committee on Electoral Reform.

This event is hosted by Leadnow in collaboration with Ryerson Student's Union and is part of a series happening across Canada.

Snacks and drinks will be served following the event. This event is free and open to the public.
