The Sound of Change Music Festival: The Elwins, Fast Romantics, Aukland, John River, Iris, The Soul Proprietor

GTA-based non-profit music organization The Sound of Change is presenting its inaugural music festival on Friday, May 16 at Adelaide Hall, Toronto. The bill is headlined by indie rockers The Elwins and also features Fast Romantics [indie rock], Aukland [rock/pop], John River [hip-hop], Iris [shoegaze] and The Soul Proprietor (Eon from Bedouin Soundclash) [DJ set]. Show proceeds will be supporting Raising the Village, a charity working to eliminate extreme poverty through sustainable, community-based projects in Uganda. “We’re having a party with some of the best artists in Ontario as a way to celebrate the start of summer,” says The Sound of Change founder, Lucas Canzona. “We also want to introduce the city to something different, by creating a live music event that is also a source for positive change.”

The show is 19+ and doors open at 7:00PM. $15 advance tickets are on sale now online via Northern Tickets and in-store via Rotate This and Soundscapes.
