The Linsmore is so excited to welcome back one of Toronto's legendary bands, The Kensington Hillbillys who will be ready to rock and they are bringing their unique tribute called The Crooked Beat to Punk Rock legends, The Clash!

The Clash were an English punk rock band that formed in 1976 as part of the original wave of British punk. Along with punk, their music incorporated elements of reggae, dub, funk, and rockabilly. The Clash is one of the most influential bands ever and were definitely pioneers in Punk Rock! The Clash released 6 studio albums between 1977 and 1985, with many hit songs that are still being played today.

Early 2012 , Toronto's Kensington Hillbillys were invited back to Japan's largest rock festival " Fuji Rock ". Having performed at the festival the previous year, the band was well aware of the close relationship between The Clash and their Japanese fans and thought it would be a great idea to record an album of Clash covers. The resulting recording was called The Crooked Beat. The songs are arranged and performed in the unmistakable Kensington Hillbillys style. The band continues to perform shows as " The Crooked Beat "- their salute to the music of The Clash.

This is really going to be a special night and to see two top notch Tribute bands, Punk Rock fans and Tom Jones fans, you will be in for a real treat! Tickets are only $5 in advance, $10 at the door! Buy tickets at the bar or at www.linsmoretavern.com
