From Owen Sound to the Air War on The Western Front, Bishops exploits in aerial combat are well documented in numerous books, mostly positive but some questionable. Where was he based? What squadrons was he attached to and what type of aircraft did he fly with the RFC-Royal Flying Corps, which together with the RNAS-Royal Naval Air Service, became the RAF in 1918.
