Summer Opera Lyric Theatre continues its 29 year tradition as the only performance haven for opera lovers in late summer. Since 1986, Guillermo Silva Marin has led aspiring young artists through an intensive 8 week course of study, culminating in a series of performances showcasing the young artists at the Robert Gill Theatre, University of Toronto.

In 2015, the season opens with DER VAMPYR at 8 pm on Friday, July 31 with further performances of Marschner’s blood-soaked saga on Saturday, August 8 at 8 pm and Sunday, August 2 and Wednesday August 5 at 2 pm. Performances of Strauss’ ARIADNE AUF NAXOS are on Saturday, August 1 and Saturday, August 8 at 2 pm and Tuesday, August 4 and Thursday, August 6 at 8 pm.
