ARAB TECHNO FOR THE PEOPLE

And we're back at it again! Arab techno, house and melodic techno music for all you happy ravers.

The Souk, or bazaar in the Middle East and North Africa, is an open-air market and social gathering, a special occasion when people from all over could dance, drink, party and meet. Souk sessions gives rustic traditions a modern twist, and mixes up Arab and oriental influences with contemporary electronic music.

Sara Dziri aka Sadziky was born and bred in Belgium and combines sounds she grew up hearing with her tastes nowadays, resulting in an Arab-influenced style that's uniquely her own.

CHEBA KHADIJIJI (Toronto, CA)

Khadijiji aka Jillian Fulton has been studying Arabic traditional music for the past 5 years throughout her training as an Ethnomusicologist and Social Anthropologist. Inspired to fuse her favourite old sounds with the new, this is her first live performance on electronic equipment.
